New Health Sciences Advisory Board Member
Salt Lake City, Utah (June 15, 2020) 4Life Research Chief Scientific Officer David Vollmer, PhD, recently announced the company’s newest Health Sciences Advisory Board Member (HSAB), Dr. Don Otter.

Otter completed his doctorate degree in chemical and materials engineering at The University of Auckland in 1987. For the past 30 years, he’s developed a reputation as an innovative, interdisciplinary dairy product scientist and professor. Prior to his position as Associate Professor in the Food Science Department at the Auckland University of Technology, he served as a Senior Outreach Specialist at the Center for Dairy Research, University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Senior Research Scientist for a food and bio-based products company, and visiting scientist at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

Vollmer: “Dr. Otter has expertise with dairy protein, peptides, and small molecule analysis and characterization. His general experience runs parallel to many of our specific product developments over the years. I believe his contributions to our scientific knowledge base will be very valuable to our customers.”

Dr. Otter’s professional distinctions include sitting on the Editorial Board of the International Dairy Journal and participating in the Executive Committee for the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology.
